A guided tour of the permanent exhibition entitled “‘They Were Consumed by Fire…’” allows participants to learn about the realities of life in the Warthegau occupied by the Germans, as well as the phenomena and problems that Poles had to deal with at the time (Germanization, forced labor, food shortages, conspiracy and resistance). It also introduces the dramatic history of Radogoszcz Extended Police Prison operated during the German occupation, and its tragic ending, which was the brutal liquidation of the facility and the murder of its prisoners in January 1945.
